March 3rd, 2021: Ministries of Tatarstan Republic government met Russian subsidiaries of two largest international exhibition organizers – Messe Frankfurt и Hyve Group.
The meetings have been hosted by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov and Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Khanifov.
After discussing opportunities for promoting the Tatarstan Republic as a major Russian region for investment in automotive and automotive transport industries, the parties concluded to consider organization of a regular International Automotive Investment Forum starting 2022. The event should provide a networking platform for a wide range of top-level guests from different countries and regions, having strategic interest in co-operation with Tatarstan, KAMAZ Group, ELAZ, Sollers Group, and other machine-building enterprises located in the Republic and the neighboring regions of Russian Federation.
Tatarstan and the manufacturers on its territory are a key part of the strongest automotive cluster of the Russian Federation. The automotive industry of the Republic is based on assets of the KAMAZ Group which is not only an undisputed leader in the commercial vehicle segment but also manages a large industrial park. The Kama Industrial Park “Master” today provides a platform for more than 300 residents with 11 638 workplaces. Almost 1.5 million square meters of the Park’s space are ready to welcome new companies – from the largest international to small innovative startups.
Messe Frankfurt and Hyve Group already hold the largest events for the automotive sector in Russian Federation, especially for this they have established a joint venture ITEMF Expo. The company’s portfolio includes leading spare parts exhibition MIMS Automechanika, largest commercial vehicle show Comtrans, Bus & Coach show Busworld, International Moscow Automotive Forum IMAF. The combination of Messe Frankfurt and Hyve Group's international resources, experience and knowledge of ITEMF Expo with strategic support from the Government of Tatarstan Republic can help for the highest international level of the automotive investment forum and increase the number of investors and innovators for the automotive sector.
“Kazanskaya Yarmarka” which team has been already involved in the organization of the TIAF supported by Automechanika together with Messe Frankfurt in Tatarstan for five years, is considered as one of the co-organizers of the future automotive investment forum.
The new and modern Kazan Expo located within walking distance from the Kazan Airport can become the venue for the forum, its infrastructure and features guarantee the highest international level of any hosted event.
The Minister of Transport and Roads of the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Khanifov: “The international automotive investment forum will further push the development of transport infrastructure in Tatarstan. Participation of leading enterprises means that the forum will help our republic to achieve such goals as improving freight forwarding, renewal of passenger transport assets and the commercial transport fleets in general.”
